The Children’s Health Project

The Children’s Health Project is a Community Interest Company. The project was first published in March 2017 and is designed to support the teaching of health and well-being.

Our vision is for all children to have greater respect for their bodies, have the knowledge and confidence to make sustainable healthy choices, and have a true understanding of why it is important to be healthy.’ The Children’s Health Project.

At Notley Green Primary School, we believe that physical education and sport have a vital role to play in the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of our children, giving them the knowledge, understanding and the tools to make knowledgeable choices towards achieving an active and healthy lifestyle. However, this is just one part of developing a healthy child and therefore a holistic approach to health should be embedded across the curriculum and wider school considering; healthy movements, healthy eating, healthy habits and healthy mindset.

Notley's Vision

Our vision is for all of our children to have the knowledge and confidence to make healthy choices for themselves and others and for our children to understand what it means to be healthy.

Notley's Mission

We aim to change and develop our health education, through cross-curricular teaching including PSHE and PE lessons, Early morning activities, assemblies, clubs and our annual healthy live week.

What can I do at home to support this?

Why not complete our Children's Health Project Health & Wellbeing Questionnaire with your child or children? This is designed to help you think about how active and healthy you and your family are and what improvements you could make to increase both your physical and mental wellbeing

Throughout your child’s time at Notley Green they will have the opportunity to make a variety of healthy recipes. Why not try one of our healthy breakfast recipes at home?
