Layer Marney Tower Year 2

The children were lucky enough to climb right to the top of the tower, standing in rooms where King Henry VIII himself had stood and learning some fascinating facts about Lord

Marney. They also played a range of Tudor games, were taught how to maypole dance, experienced life in a Tudor classroom, tried on a range of armour and used bow and arrows.  The day was full of information about Tudor life and the children were bursting with enthusiasm throughout. Well done Year 2!  (They are also VERY pleased that they were not Tudor children, after learning the punishments and treatment of those 'lucky' enough to attend school back then)
